    Steve Addlesee

I have a friend named Steve Addlesee who I met in the late 80’s at a convention in Atlanta. The man is an outstanding professional inker and artist from Columbus, GA.

He’s freelance professional comics artist with an Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

Steve was born in Berlin, Germany on August 10, 1958 to Ralph and Irene Addlesee. He became a comics fan at the age of three as he drew characters and scenes from war comics published by DC. He discovered superhero comics at the age of seven..

Through the years he taught himself to write, draw, and letter comics; with over 200 self-produced comics and has created almost as many characters..

His website hasn’t been updated in a long time (it may be offline now as of 6:00pm EST on Nov. 6, 2004). He has many, many more published credits now. I am proud to have him as a friend. He has created some excellent work for me in the past that I have framed.

    Wretched Excess November 6th, 2004

What you can buy with more money than sense.

I just received the latest athleticwear catalog from Eastbay. It’s an excellent source for sporting goods equipment for football, basketball and baseball (with some soccer and other sports), but if you have more money than you can handle and need to get rid of some, don’t give to charity when you can buy this!

    Overpriced Crap

It may be a bit hard to read from this image, but here is what it says:

“Reebok unveils the Question Mid encrusted with 246 diamonds. A true one-of-a-kind, the Question features diamonds set in pure white gold fastened down each shoelace. Sleek in a black full leather upper with silver logo detailing, the Question is available for the high-roller price of $65,000. A true collector’s item, only one pair will be custom built to the size of your choice! The Question comes in a combination lock stainless steel suitcase for optimal security.”

    The question is “Why?”

    Overpriced Crap

I predict the person who actually buys AND wears this will be a rapper or rapper wanna-be.

However if you don’t have $65K just burning a hole in your pocket and you’re bound and determined to waste money, then there is

Also available from Eastbay, this hat is “…meticulously stitched in 14-karat white gold, and white-gold trim on the brim. Completing the look is the 14-karat button at the top of the cap.” Plus it comes in its own finely crafted wood case. All this can be yours for a measly $249.99 but you need to be either a Yankees or Dodgers fan because those are the only two teams offered.

You can make your own jokes about this now.

    IT’S OVER!…or is it? November 3rd, 2004

    Bush & Kerry

    So, who won?

It’s Wednesday morning, November 3rd, 2004 and it’s still too close to call. The Presidential election is still up in the air although conventional wisdom gives Bush the edge in electoral votes. However instead of Florida being the key state, it’s Ohio. Provision ballots seem to be the controversial issue this election and according to Ohio law, those ballots will be officially counted eleven days from now.

    So we wait.

    Election Eve November 1st, 2004

    George W. Bush & John F. Kerry

Who will be the winner after Nov. 2nd?

It’s the eve before the most emotional election for President of the United States. Who will win? When will we know for certain? What controversies will arise? And who’s going to be whining?

    Go vote.
