What exactly is Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog? It’s superheroes vs. supervillians…well a supervillian-in-training: Dr. Horrible (played by Neil Patrick Harris). It’s also a musical. What?!? And to top it all off…it’s completely silly a la Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Just go take a looksie.

How can you not love this short movie? Neil Patrick Harris is a hoot. Who knew
he could sing? And the whole thing of making fun of blogs and bloggers–how
great is that?
Has anyone mentioned it seems a perfect metaphor for our dolt President?? Th ink about it–-likeable, not very bright but ambitious guy has big plans, they come to be and wreck things, in the end. It’s perfect. It’s W all over, guys.
Just wait ’til Halowe’en, folks. It’ll be all “Dr. Horrible”, “The Hammer” and “Moist” costumes!

Why does everything have to be a metaphor for politics? Dr. Horrible had little at all in common with George W. Bush. Nothing in the story made me think “hey, this reminds me of Bush and US politics.”
It’s like an even lamer attempt than to tie ‘Day After Tomorrow’ to Al Gore. Doesn’t it kind of spoil your enjoyment of anything?
Besides which, there’s no way W’s going to make a working freeze/death ray in his garage.
I gotta stop typing now, because I need to blog a cat that walked by on the fence that reminds me of Obama.
