Prayers For Texas Fred — UPDATE!!!!! PRAYERS ANSWERED!!!!!
Texas Fred is out of the hospital, back home and has resumed blogging. He has full details of what happened. Drop by his blog and welcome him back.
One of the blogs I regularly visit is Texas Fred’s which has been on a self-imposed hiatus since February 26th due to political burnout. I just found out via An Ol’ Broad’s Rambling that Fred has been in the hospital. From Mrs. Texas Fred:
Fred is out of ICU. He was put in a room this afternoon. He is in a lot better shape than he was when he went in. His sugars are not under control but they are better than they were. He is on a liquid diet and it doesn’t include a beer or margarita. I still dont know when they plan on letting him out. His pancreas was severely inflamed and they want to get the inflammation down and have a stress test done before they can remove the gallbladder to see if his heart can withstand the surgery. I will keep you all posted on his progress. I appreciate all your thoughts, prayers and emails as you don’t know how much it means to him and me.

I’m so sorry to hear this. My husband went through this about 3 years ago (gallbladder induced pancreatitis). It was horrible. He was deathly ill and in ICU for over a month. It was a nightmare.
