Hillary? Concede? [NOW UPDATED]
According to ABC News and Reuters, Hillary will official concede at an event this Saturday. So far I haven’t read about any terse reactions from the Clinton camp as in the past so perhaps this mainstream media prediction will come true (of course they’ve been predicting Hillary’s demise often enough that they were bound to get it right eventually).
Okay…McCain made a speech, Obama made a speech, and Hillary made a speech but did she actually concede anywhere in it? I didn’t get to listen to it but in all the news articles and blog entries I have read, no one is saying she conceded. Was there a concession hidden somewhere in her speech? According to Reuters she said, “I will be making no decisions tonight.”
Correct me if I am wrong, but Obama technically won’t officially be the Democrat candidate for POTUS until the Democrat’s convention right? Normally it’s a formality, but could Hillary be planning some backroom shenanigans to try to wrest it from Obama? We can only hope that Hillary’s ego and overwhelming desire for power and control might cause her to do something that foolish.
Depending on whom you believe, Hillary may be withdrawing today, she may be almost withdrawing or not withdrawing at all. We shall see. I personally hope she doesn’t so to continue with Operation Chaos.
