PhotoHunt 86: Red

The latest PhotoHunt category from tnchick.com is “Red” which can be interpreted as one sees fit. This week, I have two images to share.

The first is a plant ornament made from copper or brass found within the Spring Creek Restaurant in Spring Creek, Florida. The body is made from red glass. My wife and I ate there recently and this was next to our table so I took a picture. I thought it was an interesting item.

This one is not a photograph per se, but a scan of one of the items in my collection of Boy Scout memorabilia. This happens to be a patch for the 1974 Fall Camporee in the Pine Burr Area Council located in southeast Mississippi. I actually purchased this patch while attending summer camp at Camp Tiak (the main Boy Scout camp for the Pine Burr Area Council) in 1976. I had just joined the council that year and the trading post at Camp Tiak had several surplus scout patches from previous events. This was one of several I bought and kept over the years. I’ve seen others just like it show up on ebay from time to time.

CentCom Round-up and other news
There are some articles which seem to miss the newspapers and dead news for which I deem important, therefore I will be sharing them with you. Our Military is doing one heck of a job, and they deserve any and all recognition we can offer them

I sense a shift from ‘radical’ Islam to all Islam
I’ve gathered just a few writings to prove my point, “I sense a shift from blaming ‘radical Islam’, to blaming ALL Islam.” Let me know if I’m wrong. Why no Pentagon Papers for Iraq? Islam, Old Atlantic Lighthouse Islam is
