Olbermann Demands Huge Raise From MSNBC — But Does He Truly DESERVE It?

According to Brian Maloney at Radio Equalizer and Robert Cox over at OlbermannWatch Keith Olbermann is demanding his current salary be increased to four times the amount he is currently receiving. From a reported one million dollars a year to over four million a year. Trade publication Broadcasting & Cable is saying:
“MSNBC parent NBC Universal has mandated $750 million worth of budget cuts across all divisions, and this is hardly a politic time to hand out a gargantuan raise. Meanwhile, CNN may have interest.”
So if MSNBC says “no” then Olbermann may wind up at CNN? Interesting. Let’s see how this unfolds. The New York Post is saying Olbermann needs a “king-size reality check.” Olbermann’s contract with MSNBC ends in April, 2007. Could this be a ploy by Olbermann to get on a bigger network like CNN? Does Olbermann really think MSNBC will pay him $4,000,000 per year? Will MSNBC cave in and give in to Olbermann’s demands even though NBC Universal has standing orders for massive budget cuts? Stay tuned, campers.
