With all the rain that came through the area the past several weeks, flooding was bound to occur. In an earlier post, pictures painted a graphic picture of some of that flooding.
The flooding closed a bridge along my normal route to and from work so I found an alternate route taking some rural roads taking me out of Florida for a little distance into southern Georgia. It made for a nice change of scenery and some interesting sites. I took my camera along one day after work and took some pictures.

Historical marker for the birthplace of Jackie Robinson.
Driving along Hadley Ferry Road in southern Georgia, I passed this historical marker but couldn’t tell what it marked. A few days later, I stopped with my camera to take some pictures and read that I was standing where major league baseball hall of famer Jackie Robinson was born.

The only evidence of any building.
The only other item on the site was this chimney.
